2016 has been amazing, Alhamdulillah. One of the highlights was getting married to my husband and although having to move out of the comfort of your own home was difficult, my in-laws have been wonderful in taking care of me and I cannot be anymore grateful to Him for His blessings.
I entered 2017 with a set of resolutions for myself. In no particular order,
- I want to pay more attention to my health and fitness.
It is something which I have not paid much attention to last year. After attending a few yoga classes at Lava Yoga Singapore (thanks to Groupon), I am starting to practice yoga in my daily life. I also enjoyed myself while I was attending the classes. It is a women-only yoga studio at 112 Katong. As someone who dons the hijab, I feel very comfortable and secure when I attended my classes there because the participants and instructors are all ladies! I would definitely sign up for the membership once I have a stable income.
- I want to improve my relationship with Allah s.w.t
This is another part of my life which I have been neglecting. Especially after the loss of someone very important to me, I feel the need to reconnect myself with Him and my faith.
- I want to increase my productivity at work.
This is vague. I’m not sure how to word this idea. It is more of finding meaning in what I do for a living. I’ve always been on the safe side when it comes to finding a job due to my health. After leaving my previous job, I told myself that I need to get out of my comfort zone and challenge myself.
